Minimum 1+ years intrepreter experience required.
Make a difference in Ohio's virtual education landscape as a remote Sign Language Interpreter. This flexible position allows you to connect with Deaf and Hard of Hearing students from your home office, offering the essential munication support they need to succeed.
Position DetailsHours: 35 to 37.5 weekly
Grades Served: K12
Caseload Size: 4560 students
Instruction Format: Virtual live interpretation for daily classroom activities
mon Support Types: Classroom participation, team collaboration, academic feedback
Interpret online lessons and group discussions in real time
Assist with individualized instruction and testing acmodations
Participate in IEP meetings and team planning remotely
Work in partnership with students, families, and educators
Uphold ethical and professional standards of interpreting
EIPA 3.5 or higher (required); 4.0 and written preferred
2+ years interpreting experience in school settings
RID/NIC certification strongly preferred
Technologically equipped to work remotely
Knowledge of FERPA and interpreting protocols
