Job Description Description SAIC is looking for an Electrical Engineer to support the U.S. Navy in Crane, IN. to support the Special Warfare and Expeditionary System Department (SWED),Expeditionary Command, Control, Communications, Intelligence (C3I) and Cyber Division (JXY) for Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division (NSWC Crane). Responsibilities include tasking support in the area of program management support to all a JXY Expeditionary C3I and Cyber Branch.
Qualifications Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Systems Engineering and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
- Solid foundation in fundamental electrical engineering principles, including circuit analysis, signal processing, and power systems analysis.
- Proven experience in the full product development lifecycle, from concept to production, for tactical communication systems. This includes requirements analysis, system architecture design, hardware and software development, integration, rigorous testing, and deployment. Experience with military or government communication systems is highly desired.
- Extensive experience designing and developing RF communication systems, specializing in tactical wireless waveforms and antenna design. Familiarity with waveform standards such as SRW, WNW, ANW2, SATURN, TSM-X, and MUOS is required.
- Demonstrated expertise in developing and executing comprehensive test plans for tactical communication systems. This includes defining test cases, configuring test environments, conducting tests, analyzing results, and documenting findings.
- Proven ability to develop detailed specifications for selecting and procuring electronic components and equipment for tactical communication systems. This includes creating Bills of Materials (BOMs), conducting cost analysis, evaluating vendor proposals, and managing obsolescence. Experience with supply chain management is a plus.
- Proficiency in creating and interpreting technical drawings, including electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and other relevant documentation for system design, documentation, manufacturing, and maintenance.
- Strong capability to provide technical support for the installation, modification, and maintenance of fielded tactical communication systems. This includes troubleshooting hardware and software issues, providing user training, and developing technical documentation. Experience with field service and deployment support is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with cross-functional teams, including engineering, program management, and manufacturing. Must be able to clearly communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision, taking ownership of tasks and driving them to completion. A proactive and results-oriented approach is essential.

- Active Secret Security Clearance or the ability to obtain one is required.
